myGateway Security
myGateway login is secured by industry-standard TLS/SSL 128 bit encryption using Verisign certificates. You can visit the following links to Verisign to verify the myGateway certificate, as well as verify the WebStar certificate used for certain self-service functionality in the portal.

Certain channels in the portal, as well as all WebStar pages which may contain private information are also transmitted to your web browser encrypted. These pages are transmitted using HTTPS, as opposed to HTTP used by unencrypted pages. Because myGateway makes use of frames and iframes, your browser address bar may display the unencrypted frame address and not the address for the encrypted page.

To verify encryption in myGateway for yourself, please refer to the instructions for your web browser:

Internet Explorer:
  • Right-click on myGateway login page, and choose Properties. You will see that the address of the login page begins with https
  • Once logged into myGateway, click on a WebStar self-service link, such as Change PIN. In the portion of the page below the WebStar logo, right click and choose Properties. The page address begins with https.
Firefox:
  • Right-click on myGateway login page, choose This Frame, View Frame Info. Note that the page address begins with https.
  • Once logged into myGateway, click on a WebStar self-service link, such as Change PIN. In the portion of the page below the WebStar logo, right click and choose This Frame, View Frame Info. Note that the page address begins with https.
